Day 01
Arrival in Antananarivo at Ivato Airport

  • Visa upon arrival
  • Meet and greet at the airport
  • Transfer to the hotel
  • Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Antananarivo
Day 02
Transfer: Antananarivo to Antsirabe (160 km, 4 hours)

  • Breakfast at the hotel in Antananarivo
  • Drive to Antsirabe
  • Check-in at the hotel and lunch
  • Visit Lake Tritriva, a mystical crater lake (1-hour drive each way)
  • Visit a local gem and mineral museum
  • Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Antsirabe
Day 03
Transfer: Antsirabe to Morondava (10-11 hours)

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Long drive to Morondava, with lunch on the way
  • As you travel, the landscape will change to dry tropical forests and baobabs
  • Arrival and check-in at a hotel in Morondava
  • Optional boat tour through mangrove channels to visit a fishing village
  • Swim in the ocean and observe coastal life
Day 04
Full Day Program: Morondava – Baobab Avenue – Kirindy Reserve – Baobab Avenue – Morondava (3-4 hours each way)

  • Breakfast at the hotel in Morondava
  • Short drive to Baobab Avenue for a morning photo session among the majestic baobabs
  • Continue to Kirindy Reserve (3 hours), stopping to see ancient sacred baobabs
  • Guided tour of the dry tropical forest: see lemurs, lizards, and chameleons
  • Possible sighting of fossas at the Kirindy restaurant
  • Lunch and relaxation at a nearby lodge with a pool
  • Sunset photo session at Baobab Avenue
  • Return to Morondava for dinner and overnight
Day 05
Flight: Morondava to Antananarivo

  • Breakfast at the hotel in Morondava
  • If the flight is late, free time to swim in the ocean
  • Fly from Morondava to Antananarivo
  • If the flight is early, visit Ambohimanga, the royal residence of Malagasy kings, and a viewpoint at the Queen’s Palace
  • Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Antananarivo
Day 06
Flight: Antananarivo to Mauritius

  • Breakfast at the hotel in Antananarivo
  • Depending on the time of your flight, enjoy a short tour or shopping in Antananarivo
  • Fly from Antananarivo to Mauritius
  • Transfer to the hotel upon arrival, check-in, and overnight at a hotel in Mauritius
